I have been on skis since I was 3 years old. At an age of 12 I started experimenting with snowboarding. I really loved boarding from the start and I was every winter multiple weeks in the snow(which was not so easy living in the flat Netherlands). Every year when it started to get winter, I was already really stoked to go on winter vacation with the family to Austria or Swiss.
Next to Wintersports I really loved playing soccer. Sadly at a soccer accident at the age of 16 I tore my ACL, inner meniscus and my medial ligament. After getting an hospital infection with the reconstruction operation and tearing my ACL and meniscus again a year after the operation I haven’t been able to ski or snowboard again.
So I went on a search for a good alternative to get back on the slopes again. Looking for ski bikes(which were all much to dangerous for my knee) I found the SnoGo!!!!
I have to say that the SnoGo really changed my life. From always being alone at the house and listening to the stories from my family how beautiful the weather and snow conditions where. How sick the jumps were en the off piste slopes. To be back on the slopes, enjoying the freedom to ride the SnoGo on and off the slopes and being reunited with the family. And after a whole day of SnoGoing not having troubles with my knee. I couldn’t express how much this means to me and how thankful I am to experience this!
So big love to the SnoGo team for designing, selling and renting out such an awesome safe snowbike. And extra big love to Alin from the European SnoGo team, which is an amazing SnoGo instructor and a very good guy
Peace and love
One of the main reasons for purchasing a Sno-go was to protect my knee. Both skiing and snowboarding were affecting it badly, and after 3 long days on the Sno-go, I have had no injuries or soreness to my knee whatsoever. It is still early days though.
The Sno-go is so much fun and very easy to learn. If you can ride a bike and ski then you're away. The two disciplines complement each other perfectly.
I brought the Sno-go for a ski season in New Zealand. It reached me within a week which I thought was brilliant. Nathan at the Sno-go team was extremely helpful!
However, parts of the Sno-go are quite heavy and can be awkward to carry. This means it can be a little difficult to transport and manoeuvre around ski lifts, shuttle buses and gondolas. Although the weight does provide some peace of mind that it is a sturdy piece of kit. However I have already had problems with the tiny shock on the front ski, and when I have taken it apart to fix it, I have noticed some components could have been made more precisely and with better (stronger) materials. Having contacted the Sno-go team regarding the broken shock, they have instantly sent out a new replacement one on first class postage. Great customer service!
The reaction from everyone who has seen the Sno-go has been extremely positive in New Zealand. I expect them to become much more popular in the next few years. I will certainly be riding one!
THANK YOU WITH ALL MY HEART.
I SUSTAINED A SEVERE TBI (traumatic brain injury) roughly 5 years ago. PRE INJURY I WAS A PSIA INSTRUCTOR FOR TELE SKIING AND SNOWBOARDING. ALSO, ENTHUSIASTIC SPLIT BOARDER. MY TBI LEFT ME WITHOUT THE ABILITY TO SNOWBOARD. OGDEN VALLEY ADAPTIVE SPORTS HAS BEEN PUTTING IN AN INCREDIBLE EFFORT TRYING TO GET ME BACK ON THE MOUNTAIN SKIING FOR SEVERAL YEARS. MY BODY AND BRAIN JUST WEREN’T WORKING TOGETHER.
TWO WEEKS AGO WE GAVE SNO-GO A TRY.
BEEN 2 WEEKS SINCE TRYING AND TODAY SPENT THE DAY SNO-GOING AT POWDER MOUNTAIN ON GREENS AND BLUES. STILL SMILING WITH THE KINDNESS I NEVER WOULD BE EXPERIENCING WITH OUT SNO-GO IN MY LIFE.
THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH.
I completely loved the bike. My son (who has special needs) rode it all weekend and was over the moon with the fact that he could be on the slopes with his sisters.
My only complaint is the VELCRO strap that attaches to the bike. It was broken within 30 minutes. Need a new design.
Loads of fun!
